Trash Collection Reminders

We have experienced several problems in the past months and want to

remind everyone of the trash service rules:

• Trash service is limited to 6 standard size trash bags per week per

  household. If more than 6 bags or equivalent is put out, it cannot be

  picked up; there is a limit to the capacity of the truck and too many

  people have been abusing the limit.

• If you need extra trash picked up, for example if you are cleaning out a shed or garage, you may make arrangements for additional trash to be collected for an extra fee by calling the Township office at 724-725-5294.

• No loose trash will be picked up; everything must be in a trash bag or container.

• No more than 50 lbs. per trash bag or container, please; we don’t want

  our workers injured.

• Trash to be picked up must be placed at the roadside; due to liability

  issues, workers are no longer allowed to enter private property to

  remove trash.

• Trash may not be brought to the Township building unless prior

  arrangements have been made; call the office at 724-725-5294.
