Trash Collection Reminders

We have experienced several problems in the past months and want to
remind everyone of the trash service rules:
Trash service is limited to 6 standard size trash bags per week per
household. If more than 6 bags or equivalent is put out, it cannot be
picked up; there is a limit to the capacity of the truck and too many
people have been abusing the limit.
If you need extra trash picked up, for example if you are cleaning out a shed or garage, you may make arrangements for additional trash to be collected for an extra fee by calling the Township office at 724-725-5294.
No loose trash will be picked up; everything must be in a trash bag or container.
No more than 50 lbs. per trash bag or container, please; we don’t want
our workers injured.
Trash to be picked up must be placed at the roadside; due to liability
issues, workers are no longer allowed to enter private property to
remove trash.
Trash may not be brought to the Township building unless prior
arrangements have been made; call the office at 724-725-5294.
Your cooperation in helping us continue to provide the best and least
expensive trash service in the area is greatly appreciated.
