Public Comment Period Now Open for the Sheepskin Trail – Nilan Bridge Project

Springhill Township residents are invited to review and comment on PennDOT’s proposed Sheepskin Trail – Nilan Bridge Project, now available for public input here.


About the Project

PennDOT’s plan includes:

  • Construction of approximately 2,100 feet of new hiking and biking trail along Nilan Road.

  • A new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Nilan Road to connect existing sections of the Sheepskin Trail.

  • Trail surfacing, drainage upgrades, and related improvements.

  • A projected construction schedule running from Fall 2026 through Fall 2027.

The public comment period is open from November 19 through December 3, 2025.
